Cookie Policy
Last updated: 18 September 2026
CHAIYN AI PRIVATE LIMITED (referred to as “we”, “us”, “our” or “CHAIYN”), a company incorporated in India and registered under the Companies Act, 2013, operates the website at chaiyn.ai (the “Site”). This cookie policy (“Cookie Policy”) explains how we use cookies, browser storage and similar technologies when you visit the Site, and the choices available to you.
This Cookie Policy forms part of, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy and our User Terms. Capitalised terms used but not defined in this Cookie Policy have the meanings given to them in those documents. This Cookie Policy applies to the Site only; the Chaiyn platform at app.chaiyn.ai is governed by the Privacy Policy and the User Terms.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit it. Browser storage (“local storage” and “session storage”) works in a similar way, but its contents are not sent to a server with every request. In this Cookie Policy we refer to cookies, browser storage, scripts and similar technologies together as “Cookies”.
- First-party Cookies are set by the Site itself. Third-party Cookies are set by another provider whose service runs on the Site.
- Session Cookies are deleted when you close your browser tab or window. Persistent Cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them.
2. How we ask for your consent
When you first visit the Site, a banner asks you to choose how we may use non-essential Cookies. You may select “Accept all”, “Reject non-essential”, or open “Preferences” to decide for each category. Until you make a choice, our analytics service runs with analytics storage denied. Strictly necessary storage does not require your consent, because the Site cannot provide the services you request without it.
We record your choice for 12 (twelve) months, after which the banner is shown again. You may change or withdraw your choice at any time as described in Clause 8. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it was withdrawn.
3. Strictly necessary storage
We use the following first-party browser storage to operate the Site. It is always on, is not used to track you across other websites, and is not shared with third parties.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| chaiyn_consent | Local storage | Records your cookie choice so the Site does not ask again on every visit. | 12 months, after which you are asked again |
| chaiyn_utm | Session storage | Holds the campaign parameters (source, medium, campaign) of the link that first brought you to the Site, so a demo request can be attributed to it. | Until you close the browser tab |
| chaiyn_exit_offer | Session storage | On our campaign pages only, records that an offer has already been shown, so it is not shown again. | Until you close the browser tab |
| chaiyn_offer_deadline | Session storage | On our campaign pages only, holds the end time of a time-limited offer. | Until you close the browser tab |
4. Analytics Cookies
We use a third-party web analytics service to understand in aggregate how visitors use the Site: for example, which pages are viewed and how visitors arrive at them. The service is configured in its consent mode, with all storage denied by default.
- If you accept analytics Cookies, the service sets two Cookies on your device: one that distinguishes one browser from another to produce aggregate usage statistics, and one that maintains the state of a browsing session. Each lasts for up to 2 (two) years.
- If you reject or do not choose, the service does not set or read Cookies on your device. In its consent mode, the provider may still receive limited signals without Cookies (for example, that a page was loaded), which do not rely on identifiers stored on your device.
- Advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalisation are always denied. We do not use this service for advertising.
The provider processes this information in accordance with its own privacy policy.
5. Measurement without Cookies
We use measurement services provided by our hosting provider to measure aggregate traffic and page performance. These services do not use Cookies and do not store identifiers on your device, so they run without requiring your consent. The provider processes this information in accordance with its own privacy policy.
6. Campaign attribution
We use a website visitor-tracking service provided by a third-party vendor, which works with our email campaign platform, to attribute visits that arrive from our email campaigns and to understand which organisations visit the Site. This script loads on every page of the Site, may set its own Cookies or similar identifiers on your device, and may process your IP address and your activity on the Site for these purposes.
This service is not currently controlled by the choices you make in the cookie banner. You may block it by using your browser’s settings to block third-party Cookies and scripts, or by contacting us at hello@chaiyn.ai to object to this processing. The vendor and the email campaign platform each process information in accordance with their own privacy policies.
7. Meeting scheduling
After you submit a request for a demo, we display a third-party scheduling widget so that you can book a meeting directly. The widget is not loaded while you browse the Site; it appears only once your request has been submitted. The scheduling provider sets its own Cookies, which are governed by its own privacy policy.
8. Managing your choices
- You may change your choice at any time using the link, which is also available in the Site footer.
- Most browsers allow you to view, block or delete Cookies and browser storage through their settings. Blocking or deleting strictly necessary storage may cause the Site to ask for your cookie choice again or affect certain features of the Site.
9. Personal data and your rights
Some information collected through Cookies, such as an IP address or an identifier stored on your device, may constitute Personal Data. We process such Personal Data in accordance with the Privacy Policy and Applicable Laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Your rights, including the rights to access, correction and erasure, to withdraw consent and to grievance redressal, are set out in Clause 7 of the Privacy Policy.
The third-party providers described in this Cookie Policy may process information outside India. Any such transfer is subject to Clause 14 of the Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example when we add or remove a service that uses Cookies. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Where a change materially affects the Cookies we use, we will ask for your consent again where Applicable Laws require it.
